The Mid-Norfolk Railway Preservation Trust operates the longest standard gauge heritage railway in East Anglia, running frequent trains between Dereham and Wymondham. Owned by the trust, this line is currently being restored to include County School station, with additional operations from East Dereham and Wymondham Abbey. The railway has been recognized for its excellence, having won awards from the Heritage Railway Association in 2013. Visitors can explore a new maintenance shed at Dereham while enjoying scenic rides through Norfolk's countryside.
